Ge-commerce are currently in negotiation with ethical, fairtrade and organic stores both on the High Street and online to allow you to save then redeem points from your G-card© account for discounts on purchases of eco friendly goods and services. We want to ensure that only the best products are available to our G-Card© holders and they do exactly what they say on the tin! We have therefore created a set of values and rules that our participants must adhere to. This is to ensure that we can successfully market products to you honestly and within correct guidlines. Their products or services must fit into a selection of these values :

Have an environmental benefit or property
Whether it be saving energy or using less resources, each product or service must benefit the environment in some way. It may be in the production process, in its application or recyclability. This includes natural, organic and all biodegradeable goods. Fully recycled goods should ideally be made from 100% post consumer waste but not all products have this property. We will consider and market products hat contain a percentage of recycled material but other environmental factors may give an non recycled product further benefits therefore these will also be included.

Have a long life span and further recycling capabilities Durability is an important factor as the product may be in use every day. It should not create waste or have a damaging effect on the environment. If possible, the product can be recycled at the end of its useable life.

Provides tools, information, services and advice to live a greener life.
This is self explanatory. Ge-commerce will actively inform, supply and market information deemed to be useful for living a more eco friendly lifestyle.

Where possible, we will endeavour to promote products that have been made using alternative energy resources such as wind, solar or bio-mass. It’s manufacture must not exploit the environment, animals or people involved in its production and supply. Ge-commerce will actively deal with Fair, Ethical and Community Trade organisations. We will also request information on the materials used in the making of the products, for their sustainable or environmental credentials, such as FSC timber, recycled, reclaimed, reused, recyclable etc. Products or services that have eco accreditations and standards will be featured.
